Consists of silver based metal core with porcelain fused to the outside (creating the look of a natural tooth). This crown is best suited for use at the sides or back of your mouth. While they can be used on your front teeth it is not recommended. Over time you may see a black line along the top of your gums when you smile.
This option consists of a white metal core with porcelain fused to the outside. Their durability and pleasing appearance make them suitable for use anywhere in the moth. Because the base is made of Zirconium, a naturally white metal, they will always appear white at the gum line. These crowns are also free of Amalgam and Nickel, and will therefore not cause health issues or require replacement.
CEREC® Works with a 3D Scanning machine and computer assisted technology to create or restore your teeth with perfect precision. If you provide a photograph of your ideal smile, we can copy the design. Our Cosmetic Dentists have a wealth of experience with the technology and will create a design that suits your mouth and face shape. Since it is prepared on the CEREC® Computer System you will have the opportunity to review the design and request changes per your preference. Because this style of crown does not use a metal base, they will always remain white around the gums and offer no heath issue. However, the lack of study base makes them unsuited for use on the back and sides of the mouth.
E-MAX™ is made from a single block of lithium ceramic: a top-grade material chosen for its strength and delicate appearance. This option requires minimal tooth preparation in comparison to the other types. E-MAX™ restorations are also designed using the CEREC® Computer System, giving you the same flexibility in customization as the previous option. Like CEREC® Crowns, there is no metal alloy base which means you will never have an unsightly grey line around your gums and will offer no health issues.
